The heart of our project: supporting craft and more
particularly textile. Through training and promotion,
in tight cooperation with local actors, crafts opens
to international markets while preserving social cohesion.
Between tradition and innovation, crafts is essential for
the adaptation of developing countries to the challenges
of globalization. Thanks to local and global associations
fair trade is possible within a solidarity framework.
We collaborate closely with Creative Art of Souls (CAOS), Pondicherry, India. Since its inception in 2000, CAOS promotes and enforces respect for human rights at work. The remuneration of employees is higher than the average local salary. Men and women receive equal pay for the same job. No child works in the workshops, and all employees benefit from social security. The security of fixed and fair incomes provides the stability of their standard of living.
